MAYOR MIĆIN AND THE EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR DISCUSS ENHANCING COOPERATION BETWEEN NOVI SAD AND ALEXANDRIA

The Mayor of Novi Sad Žarko Mićin met at City Hall with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Serbia, H.E. Ahmed Salam Soliman. On that occasion, they discussed strengthening cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism and the economy, as well as further developing the partnership between Novi Sad and Alexandria, with which the City has had a Cooperation Agreement in place since 2021.

The interlocutors highlighted the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Egypt, with particular emphasis placed on the potential for strengthening economic cooperation, as well as exchanging experience in the areas of innovation, environmental protection and tourism.

Mayor Mićin underlined the importance of the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, which traditionally brings together a large number of domestic and international business representatives, and stated that Egyptian exhibitors are always welcome. He invited Egyptian companies to take an active part in the Fair’s activities, as well as businesspeople interested in expanding their operations to visit Novi Sad.

The Mayor thanked the Ambassador for the Embassy’s support to date and expressed confidence that the good relations would continue to develop in a spirit of friendship and mutual trust.
