In the presence of media representatives and organizers of cultural events at the Cultural Center of Novi Sad, the conference was held to present the web-portal "KultTura". This project represents a register of cultural events in Novi Sad, implemented within the City of Novi Sad candidacy for the European Capital of Culture in 2021. The conference was attended by a member of the City Council in charge of Culture Vanja Vučenović, who pointed out that this project will show that the culture of Novi Sad is diverse, but also unique at the same time.
- Novi Sad has an exceptionally rich cultural scene and one of our priorities is to make the culture accessible to all of our fellow citizens and guests of our City. I am very glad that we now have the website that will contribute to our goal and show the level of Novi Sad’s cultural development. I am inviting all cultural institutions, organizations, and individuals to respond to the call and participate in the project while contributing to the improved awareness- Vanja Vučenović said.
Manager of the Cultural Center of Novi Sad Andrej Fajgelj said that the need for a single calendar of cultural events has crystallized while organizing a number of participatory events within candidacy for the European Capital of Culture. The manager also expressed the hope that the entire cultural community will participate in completing the contents of the portal, thus helping its successful enforcement.
The web-portal "KultTura" was officially launched on 15th March this year. The Portal users can add the new content themselves, while all information is available in Serbian and English. The cultural events can be searched by date, category or location.
