MUSIC EVENINGS AT THE OLD RANGE-ЕĐŠЕG

City Administration for Culture, together with the Novi Sad Big Band organizes ‘Music Evenings at the Old Range-Eđšеg’, during which the Eđšеg (4, Antona Čеhоvа Street), will host from September 22nd to October 29th a range of eight concerts performed by most renowned musicians. On this occasion, representatives of the media were addressed by the Member of the City Council in charge for Culture Mr. Vаnjа Vučеnоvić and the conductor of the Novi Sad Big Band Mr. Fеdоr Vrtаčnik.

- It is our great pleasure to announce that tomorrow, with the film music concert performed by the Novi Sad Big Band, the ‘Music Evenings at the Old Range-Eđšеg’ event is to commence. Till the end of October, our audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performances of stylistically and conceptually various, but all very esteemed musicians. Through its support, the City has once again showed its intention to decentralize the culture in Novi Sad, but also to revive this wonderful edifice which will host a whole range of events and cultural programs, within the scope of our City’s preparation for 2021 European Culture Capital – said Mr. Vučеnоvić.
Big Band conductor Mr. Fеdоr Vrtаčnik extended his gratitude to the City representative for their trust and pointed out that the aim of the manifestation is to promote the Old Range-Eđšеg as a new concert hall and to provide high-quality cultural content to Novi Sad.

- Novi Sad Big Band and other participants are preparing for the concerts, they are all very enthusiastic about the venue and we expect a great audience. All concerts begin at 8 PM and the entrance is free of charge, although I point out that for the concerts we already know will have numerous visitors, we provide free tickets and only those with such tickets will be allowed entrance. We will inform the public of the details before the concerts – explained Mr. Vrtаčnik.

The Old Range-Eđšеg Music Evenings start on Tuesday, September 22nd, with the ‘Pоnоvо rаdi biоskоp’ Concert. The Novi Sad Big Band repertoire includes some of the most famous Oscar-winning movie themes, such as The Godfather, Love Story, Hair, Mission Impossible, James Bond, Rocky, The Deer Hunter, New York-New York, Mambo Kings.

The concert program is the following: September 24th Vasil Hаdžimаnоv Band, October 1st Таnjа Јоvićеvić and the Jazz Quintet, October 8th ‘Kо nеkаd u оsаm’ Evergreen Concert, October 10th String Quartet ‘Wonder Strings’, October 14th The ‘Vrеlо’, October 22nd The Harp Night, Тiјаnа Kоzаrčić, October 29th Јеlеnа Тоmаšеvić and The Novi Sad Big Band.
