Living Lab Concept for realization of the "TRIBUTE" Project

The City of Novi Sad – City administration for traffic and roads continues to implement activities within the project TRIBUTE - "inTegRated and Innovative actions for sustainable Urban Mobility UpgradE". Within the first time period, from January 1 to June 30, 2021, the entire project consortium has been focused on identifying stakeholders in the project, in all the 8 partner cities (Milan, Ljubljana, Maribor, Zagreb, Patras, Novi Sad, Sarajevo, Podgorica).

Stakeholders involved in the project (including ministries, universities, NGOs involved in promoting sustainable mobility, ICT experts, associations for the elderly and disabled, etc.) will directly take part in the implementation of the "Living Lab" concept. All selected stakeholders signed a Memorandum of Understanding to formally guarantee their involvement in the project, expressing their intention to take part in a transnational stakeholder network. Finally, a database of key stakeholders of the TRIBUTE project was successfully created.

Living Lab in Novi Sad gathers stakeholders relevant primarily for realization of the pilot-project in Novi Sad, the aim of which is to improve public traffic through better users informedness. At this project phase, apart from city institutions in charge for traffic sector, urban planning and environment protection, various traffic sector representatives of the Novi Sad University, private sector and NGOs have also been included, who from their standpoints, previous experience, as well as exchange of opinions, significantly contribute development of innovative solutions within the project. The Novi Sad pilot-project has been based on creating a new mobile application and setting-up bus stop screens, whose purpose is to provide information on bus departures and arrivals at various bus stops, in real time, on the basis of vehicle data delivered through GPS instruments installed in vehicles. Also, mobile application users shall be provided with information on alternative means of transport (e. g. bicycle) for the purpose of satisfying their individual needs in a sustainable manner.

In order to agree on the next steps and analyze the implemented activities, the 2nd coordination meeting of the TRIBUTE Project Steering Committee will be organized on July 22. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Maribor.
