COOPERATION OF THE CITY AND THE VETERINARY INSTITUTE

Mayor of the City of Novi Sad Mr. Miloš Vučević visited today the Veterinary Scientific Institute on the occasion of their 65th anniversary. General Manager of the Institute Prof. Miroslav Ćirković, PhD, awarded the Mayor a special memorial plaque, marking the cooperation and successes of the mutual cooperation so far.
- The Institute stands for a merger of science and knowledge, but also of the economy, and the City of Novi Sad and the Republic of Serbia should be proud of all what this institution has accomplished so far in the previous six and a half decades. The City and the Institute have a partner relation, and the cooperation will be enriched in the area of animal waste disposal in coordination with the City and the Province institutions. I congratulate the General Manager and his associates this important jubilee, and I hope this new project of constructing this state-of-the-art facility will be realized in the best possible way. We are particularly pleased that following this, the existing facility’s use will be transferred to Matica Srpska, i.e. to the City of Novi Sad, and that it will receive new contents. – pointed out Mayor Vučеvić.
The General Manager extended his gratitude to the Mayor for the excellent cooperation so far, and said that in coordination with the City, a location will be provided so the animal waste incinerator will be put into operation, which the Instituted received from the EU.
- Most probably it will be located in the settlement of Šangaj, and the City should provide a reefer facility so this type of waste could be preserved until it is treated. – pointed out Professor Ćirković, PhD. According to the General Manager, the Institute has a good tradition, boasts an excellent pool of professionals and experts, as well as state-of-the-art equipment, and continues to meet most strict European standards.
