“BIG CEE” SHOPPING MALL OFFICIALLY OPENS

The first shopping mall of the Israeli company “Big CEE Serbia” in Novi Sad was officially opened. On that occasion, the first deputy prime minister and minister of defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, together with the Israeli ambassador in Serbia, H.E. Josef Levi, mayor of Novi Sad, Miloš Vučević, and CEO of “Big CEE” Eitan Bar Zeev  addressed the audience.

Aleksandar Vučić congratulated Novi Sad on this significant investment and wished more investments by foreign and domestic companies that will contribute to job creation in the future. Ambassador Josef Levi said that the opening of the shopping mall means that Israel believes in Novi Sad and Serbia and all the potential they possess, while the CEO of “Big CEE” Eitan Bar Zeev thanked the team of the company, the previous and the current city administration for their persistence, since they managed to finish the project of building of the shopping mall in extremely difficult economic circumstances.

- I am very pleased that a large mall by the Israeli company “Big CEE” is opening today in Novi Sad. It is largely because large investments in the past have bypassed our city. I am convinced that this practice will be changed. The opening of the shopping mall represents a proof that Novi Sad has great potential, and we will provide the support to all who are interested to do business here - the mayor of Novi Sad Miloš Vučević emphasized.

“Big CEE” is a modern shopping centre, covering 40.000 square meters  on nine acres of land and it will be located in the industrial zone, near Novi Sad Dairy Factory (“Novosadska mlekara”). The shopping center has a large parking area with 1.500 parking spots with direct access to shops, while it will employ more than 500 people. 50 million euros have been invested in this facility and it will feature the world's top brands and discount stores.
