The foreseen continuation of the spread of the City of Novi Sad onto the shore of the Danube River encompasses the areas of “Kamenička Ada”, ”Ribarsko ostrvo” and the area between the Navy and the swimming beach “Štrand”.

The“Kamenička Ada” area is foreseen as a construction site of a commercial business centre, hotel complex and marina conditioned by the filling of the central area of the water surface. For the space of the”Ribarsko Ostrvo” three basic functions are planned: tourism, sports and recreation and within the bounds of the free unoccupied space, an accent will be placed on arranging the space with minimal construction.
The existing construction and the planned purpose have brought about the division of”Ribarsko Ostrvo” into four separate wholes. The first area is between the camp sight and the “Šondroš” channel, the area reserved for the auto-camp is planned as the second area, the park-forest as the third, and the''Ribarac'' settlement as the fourth whole.
